It’s back to school time again……
New teachers, new uniforms and for some kids a new school - it can only mean one thing - back to school has rolled round once more.
Any term time routine will be kicking in just about now and I too, have been getting used to a new routine, as I have just recently returned to work after having my baby girl last year. Big change!
In the magazine this month, we’ve been looking at the cost of back to school and we took to our Facebook page to find out how you are coping with the additional strain on the household budget. We want to hear about your experiences at www.facebook.com/ni4kids and if there’s anything else you think we should be covering and aren’t email me at editor@ni4kids.com
Back to school means the arrival of homework and our handy study Study Smarter guide has a few tips to make study time a pain free process.
If you are thinking about joining the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) at your child’s school, find out more on Page 7 of the magazine. There’s further information and ideas on the website at www.ni4kids.com
If you’re at a loss of what to put in school lunchboxes this term check out our food section for some healthy ideas and if you’re worried about the impact after school activities have on the academic progress kids, read our article in the parenting section.
Our special focus this month is on birthday parties and soft play venues and it’s a bumper feature with a guide to birthday party etiquette, checklist for the countdown to the big day and our top picks for venues. If thoughts of a new car are on your mind, then our motoring feature Family Driven, will give you idea of the best buys on the road.
Term time means back to looking for ideas on what to do with the kids at the weekend and look no further than our What’s On section for even more events and days out inspiration.
Enjoy the issue
