Pre-release Tickets Available Now For 2018 Belfast Children

2018 marks the 20th birthday of Young at Art and its annual Belfast Children’s Festival showcasing the very best international and local arts experiences for children and young people in Northern Ireland.

To celebrate this special anniversary year, Young at Art promise a packed programme of theatre, visual art, music, dance, literature, workshops and talks, guaranteed to inspire joy, creativity and curiosity from Friday 9 to Wednesday 14 March, 2018.

Tickets to three shows are available to book now before the main programme launches in January. Treat the kids to tickets to Penguins, How to Catch a Star, or Horses, or gift vouchers are now available for an extra special Christmas or birthday surprise.

Penguins is a warm and engaging story about friendship, fun, identity and the ever-changing meaning of family. It is inspired by the true story of two male penguins who raised a chick in New York Zoo.

How to Catch a Star is based on the beloved book by award-winning Belfast author Oliver Jeffers and combines world-class puppetry, a magical soundtrack, atmospheric lighting and beautiful staging.

Horses is a dance performance with an untameable energy, in which five children and five adults meet. This production from Belgium explores how we learn to trust and count on each other, about wanting to be a grown-up and wanting to remain a child, about power and vulnerability, about carrying and being carried, and how we learn to trust and count on each other.
Horses shows the power and integrity of human relationships.

This year adults will pay the same price as children! Just £10.
