The 2012 National Countrysports Fair will be held at Moira Demesne over the weekend of Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th May. This year the event is joined by two other national festivals becoming the Northern Ireland Countryside Festival, in the City of Lisburn.Widely recognised by Ireland's country sports community as the showcase event for Irish country sports, the national Countrysports Fair is widely acclaimed for the quality of its stands, the displays and demonstrations and for the high visitor numbers to the event. This inclusion of the National Countrysports Fair with the Finn McCool Strongman Festival and the Tea on the Titanic Music Festival at Moira Demesne will prove to be Ireland's largest countryside festival this year."Three Great Events - One Giant Festival " All running that weekend at Moira Demesne and for just £10 for an adult with children going free!Family Fun at the Fair The National Countrysports Fair has an action packed programme of events, have-a-go activities and features for children of all ages to enjoy, ensuring the whole family has a memorable day out at Moira Demesne over the weekend of 26th & 27th May.We have placed a strong emphasis this year on giving our visitors the opportunity to see at first hand and experience the many fascinating and exciting activities that take place in the Irish countryside. There really is something for everyone here, especially families because the National Countrysports Fair is a fun event for the whole family, including the dog. You can enter a dog show; have a ride on a pony or in a horse-drawn carriage. There is archery to try your hand at, air rifle shooting and even clay pigeons to shoot at. How about racing ferrets through pipes, holding a golden eagle on your arm or tying a fishing fly. We have a blacksmith, a basket maker and a real life outdoor expert making shelters, carving spoons and showing you how to live off the countryside.
