Have A Ball This Summer At A Paul Acheson Sport’s Week
2018 promises to be a great year for sport; already the Ireland rugby team has won the Grand Slam for only the third time and lots of Northern Ireland athletes came home from the Commonwealth Games in Australia with a wealth of medals – including a fantastic gold for 18-year-old Rhys McClenaghan in the Men’s Pommel Horse. This month (June 14) the 2018 FIFA World Cup starts in Russia featuring many of the world’s best players.
Children who enjoy sports themselves can have a ball this summer by making new friends at the Paul Acheson Summer Sports Weeks camps at Campbell College. With sports ranging from swimming to dodgeball and tennis to hockey, there are six weeks in total to choose from, so there’s bound to be one to suit everyone (min five days attendance but can be spread out). There’s also an art/drama/sport option for creative youngsters, and special fun-filled programmes for those aged four to six.

Sign Up For An Active Summer
Kids across Mid Ulster can now be signed up for an active summer with the release of a new programme of arts, crafts, sports and summer schemes running throughout June, July and August by Mid Ulster District Council.
Featuring more than 70 separate activities across the summer months across the district in leisure centres, arts venues and sports arenas, the programme includes a range of sports and activities tailored at children and adults, including those with disabilities, as well as leisure-centre schemes where kids can enjoy indoor and outdoor activities, along with arts and crafts and trips to attractions in the area.
This year, many of the summer schemes also provide early drop off and supervised lunches for children attending. Swimming, tennis, golf, canoeing, soccer, Gaelic games, athletics, rugby, golf and gymnastics, are all on offer in venues across Cookstown, Dungannon, Maghera, Magherafelt, Ballyronan, Moneymore and Tobermore.

Debutots Fun Weeks: Bursting With Energy, Fun And Friendship
Debutots Fun Weeks will provide an exciting, challenging, rewarding and fun way for children aged four to 11 years to spend their summer holidays. It is a place for making new friends, building confidence and having a fantastic time in a safe, friendly and dynamic atmosphere, where even the most timid child will feel able to join in.
Debutots have fun weeks in Antrim, Lisburn, Hillsborough, Maghaberry and Belfast. Each session has three elements: There is a gentle performance class with songs, dances and drama games. Next is craft time where the children create all sorts of wonderful things – lots of glue, glitter and colour! After snack time your child will enjoy some indoor or outdoor games (depending on the weather all outdoor activities are within grounds of venue).
This is a week bursting with energy, fun and friendship. Early booking is advised as spaces for each session are limited. Colin Glen: The Best Way To Make New Friends This Summer
Colin Glen is offering four different summer schemes throughout July and August for children aged five to 16. Their Belfast-based, week-long activity programmes are the best way to make new friends and meet like-minded people in a fun environment. Cheaper than childcare and more fun than you can cram into a holiday in the sun! With at least two to three activities per day, your child will have the opportunity to try new sports and learn new skills.
- Adventure Camp– (Ages 12-16) SKYTrek, kayaking, archery, lazer tag, bushcraft, mountain biking etc.
