A host of brilliant shows will be the final events presented at the Grand Opera House before a year of restoration work commences in January 2020. The curtain will rise again 10 months later, just prior to the 125th birthday celebrations in December 2020.

15 – 19 October
The National Theatre, producers of War Horse and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time are bringing Shelagh Delaneyís career-defining play A Taste of Honey to Belfast. Starring theatre favourite Jodie Prenger and featuring a superb live band on stage, this is a poignant portrayal of working-class life in the 1950s, and one of the most influential plays of the 20th century.

8 & 9 November

Enjoy some of the best-known scenes from ballets including The Nutcracker and The Sleeping Beauty as well as world-famous orchestral pieces in An Evening of Music and Dance. Or treat the whole family to a special danced performance of Prokofievís Peter and the Wolf in an afternoon performance which also includes Tubby the Tuba and famous ballet extracts.



11 – 16 November
Don’t miss the story of one of the world’s biggest superstars, Gloria Estefan, told live on stage following its run in London’s West End! This exhilarating, non-stop party musical features some of the most iconic pops songs of the era, including Rhythm Is Gonna Get You, Conga, Get On Your Feet, Don’t Want To Lose You Now and 1-2-3.



19 – 23 November
Starring multi-talented funnyman Jason Manford, Curtains is the hilarious Tony award-winning ‘whodunnit’ musical from the creators of Cabaret and Chicago. Packed full of catchy songs, unforgettable characters and plot twists galore, this murder mystery masterpiece will have audiences laughing and guessing right to the final curtain!
