The 34^th Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival for Young People returns from 30^th September to 31^st October 2023.

The Festival programme funded by the Department of Communities through Northern Ireland Screen offers unmissable film opportunities for young people, families, schools, and young filmmakers, with over 100 events in Ulster Museum, Queen’s Film Theatre, The Belfast Barge, Strand Arts Centre, Black Box, Accidental Theatre and Odeon Cinemas Belfast.

The 2023 Cinemagic film line-up features over 150 films including 30 international previews and three special Gala Screenings. As proud media partners with Cinemagic, we have tickets to see highly acclaimed children’s animation The Sound Collector and Q&A meet and greet with Show Creators Erica & Tom Angell at the Festival in Ulster Museum!

The Sound Collector explores sound as heard through the ears of a small but very active little being called the Sound Collector, who has a passion for sound even though he is very hard of hearing. He spends his days discovering and using new sounds that he finds on his adventures, whether it’s the blooping and popping of sea anemones, the hissing of the tide drawing back along the beach, or the snores and snuffles of his best friend and pet mole.

 The event takes place on Saturday 21 October in the Ulster Museum, Lecture Theatre (11.15am) and is recommended for age 5+
