Revolting Rhymes
March 18 @ 11:00 am

Seamus Heaney HomePlace is delighted to once again collaborate with Cinemagic to screen the family film Revolting Rhymes as part of Cinemagic’s ‘Young Audiences Supporting Foodbanks’ initiative.
Based on the extraordinary book by Roald Dahl, illustrated by Quentin Blake, Revolting Rhymes mixes the classic fairy tales of Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, The Three Little Pigs, Jack & the Beanstalk and Cinderella, then serves them with a mischievous twist.
Rather than paying for a regular ticket to gain entry to the film screening, audience members are asked to donate an essential item / food item on the day needed by the Foodbank to support the local community. Magherafelt Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
Suggested items include tinned fruit, vegetables or meat; nappies and toiletries or long-life juice or milk. Please check the date on the food donated and ensure that it has an expiry of 1 to 3 months.
