St Patrick’s Day Steam

Come on down to Whitehead and celebrate our patron saint whilst enjoying our fabulous world of trains. Included in you ticket price is a short steam train ride at our Whitehead Excursion Station and admission to our 5-gallery museum. Hauled by our 104 year-old locomotive No.3BG “Guinness”, you will travel in a carriage which a certain famous wizard would feel at home in – you will be transported to a bygone era.

Enjoy some St Patrick’s Day entertainment on the platform, with Irish dancing from 12pm.

There will also be the opportunity to hunt for sacks filled with gold, left by our naughty leprechaun. The treasure hunt might even lead you to him and a small gift awaits. Completed treasure hunt sheets can be entered for a chance to win 2 adult and 2 children 1-Day iLink tickets which are valid on the bus and train network in Northern Ireland.

Afterwards, treat yourself to some seasonal food in our Platform 3 cafe, with live music from 12pm-2pm.
