Storytelling Sessions
January 27 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
The Irish festival of Imbolc (Im-bol-c) marks the beginning of spring and is often associated with Saint Brigid’s Day, one of the patron saints of Ireland. To mark the changing seasons, children’s authors, Marianne McShane and Máire Zepf, have uncovered some of the magical and mythical tales from Irish folklore to share with your little ones.
Children’s author, Máire Zepf, will tell the seasonal tale of the Cailleach Bhéara and her magical battle with Bríd, the goddess of spring in this special Irish langauge workshop. Little ones can also get involved with activities inspired by the theme of the story!
