A new music feature from child-first smartphone platform Sayph is giving children access to music and live radio without the videos, social media, and recommendation algorithms found on many mainstream streaming services.
Sayph Music allows users to listen to a curated selection of popular UK radio stations, including BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, Heart, Capital and Virgin Radio, through their Sayph device. It also features an integrated MP3 player, enabling children to play music stored on a microSD card.
Unlike many music platforms, Sayph Music does not include video content, social features, user-generated content or recommendation feeds, offering families a simpler, audio-only experience.
The feature was developed following feedback from parents who wanted children to enjoy more of the benefits of a smartphone while maintaining the safety-focused approach of the Sayph platform.
As an audio-only service, Sayph Music is designed to let children enjoy music without the need to watch videos, scroll through feeds or interact with online communities. The new feature forms part of Sayph’s ongoing commitment to helping families build healthy digital habits while giving children access to age appropriate technology.
Sayph Music will be available to Sayph users through a software update.
